An Israeli airstrike on a terrace of a hospital in central Gaza where displaced Palestinians were sheltering killed four people on Sunday,
according to Al-Aqsa Hospital and General Security. The attack wounded another 40 people, according to the Gaza Government Media Office. About 5,000 people have taken refuge on the premises, according to the hospital administration. The office said it was the seventh time since January that a camp on the grounds of Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir al-Bara had been attacked, and called on the international community to force Israel to stop attacking civilians. The Israeli army said the targeted attack targeted a Hamas command center "located in the complex that once served as the Shuhada Al-Aqsa hospital." The army further claimed it had taken measures to prevent civilian harm due to Hamas' use of civilian infrastructure. At least 40 people, including at least 13 children, were killed in Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip on Sunday. Scores of injured and dead were admitted to Al-Aqsa Hospital on Sunday.
