The Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades confirmed that an Israeli special forces operation in Nablus,
in the occupied West Bank, resulted in the deaths of four of their members on Wednesday. According to the Brigades, a network of armed Palestinian groups, field commander Issam Muhammad al-Salaj, one of its leaders in Balata, and field commander Abdul Halim Muhammad Nasser, a leader in Askar, were among those killed.
The group dubbed the shooting at the Palestinians' car in Nablus by Israeli special forces a "cowardly assassination."
