President Biden says he has not spoken to Netanyahu and will be talking to families of hostages

U.S. President Joe Biden told reporters on Saturday that he would speak with Israeli leaders early this week,
but said he had not yet spoken to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. When CNN's Camila DeCharles asked  if he had spoken to Israeli leaders, the president said "no." Earlier this week, amid rising tensions in the Middle East, the president told reporters that he would meet with Netanyahu "relatively soon." The president was also asked about a message to  families of hostages being held in Gaza ahead of the one-year anniversary of the Oct. 7 Israeli attack. "I'm going to be talking to a lot of people," Biden told reporters on the South Lawn.
