According to police, a shooting at a party in Oklahoma City early Saturday resulted in the death of one person and the injury of at least 12 others.
Two gatherings got into a "verbal quarrel" inside an occasion community around 12:30 a.m. nearby time and the battle spilled into a parking area, where shots were discharged, Sgt. CNN was informed by the Oklahoma City Police Department's Jon Skuta.
Skuta said, "Those people then went back into the event center, where the shooting continued," and he added that investigators believe this was a one-off occurrence.
According to Skuta, one person was pronounced dead on the spot, and at least 12 others arrived at hospitals with gunshot wounds. There was no information about their conditions or ages.
Skuta stated that although individuals had been detained, no arrests had been made as of early Saturday.
It is unknown how many shots were fired or what started the fight.
